In a shocking development on Saturday, actor Payal Ghosh brought charges against Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap that he had allegedly imposed himself on her. In an interview with the ABN Telugu news channel, the actress recounted the incident claiming that Kashyap allegedly told her that she ‘shouldn’t think about denying a big star like him’ as it would allegedly ‘benefit her in the future’. The actress also alleged that Kashyap had threatened to keep quiet about the incident, reminding her of the ‘acid attacks’ on women.
He also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his tweet, urging him to ‘act’, adding that his ‘safety is at risk’.

In response to her tweet, the president of the National Commission for Women, Rekha Sharma, asked Ghosh to file an official complaint with the NCW. Meanwhile, actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been fighting with Bollywood over an alleged drug nexus in the Sushant Singh – Rhea Chakraborty case, also extended her support for Ghosh by tweeting ‘Every voice matters’. Kashyap has yet to respond to the actress’s accusations.
