Television actress Malvi Malhotra has suffered injuries after a knife attack outside her home in Mumbai. Malvi was reportedly attacked by a man whose advances she has rejected. She was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
Malvi is best known for her appearance on the hit telenovela Udaan. He has also worked in some movies in Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu, such as Hotel Milan.
According to a report by India Today, the attacker hit Malvi three times when he was returning home on Monday night. A police report has been registered against him at the Versova police station. After receiving treatment for his injuries, Malvi is stable.

The attacker has been identified as Kumar Mahipal Singh. He arrived in his Audi car, attacked Malvi and fled the scene. He has not yet been arrested. In the FIR recorded by Malvi, she said that he has been trying to get her to marry him. When she rejected his advances, he decided to attack her.
She was on her way back from a coffee shop in Versova Monday night when Singh stopped her in her tracks. He said he wanted to talk to her, but when she refused, he attacked her with a knife to her stomach, right wrist, and left hand.
