As the ongoing farmers’ protest against three new farm laws enters the 12th on Monday (December 7), Gurdaspur BJP actor and MP Sunny Deol on Sunday said he stands with his party and with the farmers.
Sunny Deol supported the new agricultural laws and said that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Center always thinks about improving farmers. The Bollywood actor took to Twitter to post a photo of his statement on the ongoing farmers’ protest.
“I ask everyone to make it a matter between our farmers and the government. Do not stand between them, because both will find a way after the discussions. I know that a lot of people want to profit from it and it is creating problems. Not thinking in farmers. They can have their own agenda, “he said.

“Deep Siddhu who was with me during the elections has not been with me for a long time and whatever he is talking about, he is saying it on his own. I am in no way related to his activities. I am with my party and the farmers and it will always be with the farmers. Our government always thinks about the betterment of the farmers and I am sure that the government will ensure the correct result after holding talks with the farmers, “he added.
It should be remembered that actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu was caught on camera defending the cause of Khalistan during the farmers’ protest.
The protesting farmers called for Bharat Bandh on December 8. Farmers from Punjab, Haryana and other parts of the country have been protesting on the borders of Delhi since November 26. The Center is holding talks with farmers to break the deadlock and the next round of talks between farmer leaders and the central government are scheduled for December 9.
