Aashiqui star Rahul Roy reportedly suffered a stroke while filming a movie in Kargil. The actor has been admitted to the Nanavati hospital in Mumbai.
Rahul was filming his movie LAC – Live the Battle. He suffered a stroke due to extreme weather conditions in Kargil. His brother Romeer Sen confirmed the news to Indian Express and said the actor is on the mend.
Rahul was best known as the main star of Mahesh Bhatt’s 1990 musical Aashiqui. He also won the first season of Bigg Boss in 2006.
Earlier this year, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Rahul had opened up about being away from the spotlight. “I walked away and that was my choice. Industry ka kuch lena dena nahi tha (The industry had nothing to do with it). Whether it’s a privilege or a curse, I entered the industry not because I was looking to be a star or an actor, ”he said.

Rahul also admitted that he was not thrilled with the movies that were offered to him. “My growth as an actor had stalled. You’re playing the same role over and over again, and in that time, everyone’s perception is ki isko yehi karte raho (make him do the same). It was a combination of many things, ”he said.
In 2005, Rahul gladly accepted Bigg Boss’s offer. Finally, he signed some movies that took a long time to make because they weren’t big-budget movies.
