“Due to the tireless efforts of the central and state / UT governments, currently almost 90% of all 23.5 Cr. Ration cards are already strewn with the Aadhaar numbers of ration card holders (ie, at least one family member); while almost 85% of Crore’s 80 beneficiaries also planted their Aadhaar number with their respective ration cards, “the statement added.
Additionally, instructions were provided that food grains under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) would not stop for people who do not authenticate Aadhaar due to its weak biometric data, network / connectivity / link issues, or any other reason. technique.
According to the NFSA, the Center provides approximately 80 crore people with 5 kg of food grains per person per month at a highly subsidized price of 2-3 per kg. The Center offers an additional 5 kg of food grains each month at no cost to provide relief during closure. This is for a period of three months until June.
