Some users report an issue with their OnePlus 8 Pro displays, where their displays show a slight green tint or black infatuation issues with low brightness.

A user in the OnePlus Community forums demonstrated the problem on their device, and the main problem appeared as a green tint in the dark colors on the screen. The user posted a side-by-side comparison with a Galaxy Note 10 Plus, and the difference between the two is quite apparent. It is important to note that the green issue only appeared when the refresh rate was set to 120Hz and the brightness was reduced to a very low setting.

The issue can potentially be resolved by disabling the DC dimming feature within the OnePlus 8 Pro. However, according to the same post, this really causes a problem with black infatuation, which is where dark areas on the screen lose detail. Depending on the preference of the user, the black infatuation problem could be more intrusive for the use of their device than the green tint.

OnePlus contacted the person suffering from the problem and said that the company is investigating it, although they have not received a response to the problem at the time of writing this article. Also, OnePlus told him Android Police that it is investigating the problem and “will issue updates as soon as they are ready.”

We will make sure to update this article if there is any update on these OnePlus 8 Pro display issues. In the meantime, have you had any problems with your OnePlus 8 Pro display?
