The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has finalized its closure plan after the Delhi Metro in which it has recommended the use of the Aarogya Setu application and the mandatory use of masks for all passengers entering the platforms.
The force has also stated that after thermal detection, which will be done at all entrance doors, if any participant is found with abnormal temperatures or symptoms of a cold, cough or flu, they will be denied entry into the subway train. .
“The Aarogya Setu app with the built-in e-pass feature could be used to identify suspicious people (who have a Covid-19 infection). People at high risk for both spreading and getting infections should be discouraged from using the metro, “states CISF’s security plan.
However, if someone doesn’t have a phone or doesn’t download the Aarogya Setu app, they won’t be denied entry.
DG CISF Rajesh Ranjan told HT: “The Aarogya Setu app is a good technology-based solution to track potential Covid-19 victims rather than people who testify. We recommend that all passengers have the Aarogya Setu app, which will work as an electronic pass. Identifying patients with Covid-19 is important to stop its spread. The success of this initiative depends on the veracity of the people regarding the information they provide in their application. “
HT first reported on Wednesday that CISF is preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Delhi Metro and airports for post-closure security checks in which it will recommend the use of the Aarogya Setu app by all passengers.
CISF has further suggested that all passengers will have to remove metal items such as belts and buckles before registering and storing them in their bags that will be scanned by an X-ray machine. “Strict rules of spacing will be followed throughout the station area and adequate waiting area before security checkpoint is maintained, “he said.
He added that passengers must maintain at least two meters of distance between the security inspection site and the alignment points and a meter distance between passengers waiting at the security inspection site.
It has also proposed that the entire station area be disinfected with chemicals and safety accessories; Equipment and X-ray tables should be disinfected every 30 minutes.
CISF is deployed in around 160 metro stations.
