Sonam Kapoor has shared an emotional note from the days of the release of his award-winning film, Neerja. Sharing a photo from an old photo shoot, he wrote how he took a break after the film’s release to soak up the success and ended up falling in love with Anand Ahuja.

I took a year off to feel better than I was feeling, on that trip, falling in love with who I was, I met my life partner @anandahuja. Sonam had played the role of Neerja Bhanot, 22, based on the life of the stewardess who sacrificed her life for the safety of the passengers during the hijacking of an airplane in 1986. The film won the National Film Awards – Special Mention and also best feature film.

Sonam was last seen in front of Dulquer Salmaan in The Zoya Factor, who did not appear at the box office. She has been on a break ever since and currently spends her time in the kitchen during the lockdown.
