Taapsee Pannu has been delighting fans with interesting anecdotes from his shots lately, to beat the blocking blues. He has now recalled the time when he was filming for the 2018 sports biopic Soorma, which tells the remarkable real-life story of Indian hockey star Sandeep Singh.
While Diljit Dosanjh was rehearsing Sandeep in the movie, the hockey star also used to be on set, to guide actors on the finer aspects of the sport, as Taapsee and Diljit were chosen as hockey players.
Taapsee took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes video where she can be seen doing somersaults. Sharing an anecdote with the video, he revealed that it was a punishment imposed by “coach” Sandeep Singh, as he missed his preparatory classes!
“This is from #Soorma. The hockey world calls it “baajiyaan”, but as a child we used to call this gulaatiyaan in Delhi. This is usually a punishment in the hockey world, but at home it used to be a fun activity. And being the hyperactive kid, I had a lot of this “fun” growing up, “he wrote.
She shared that her childhood activity helped her on the set of the movie. “It surely helped me do this easily on set. Also my coach @sandeep_rebirth was always ready with this punishment for me if I missed class! Talk about method preparation! # Backspace #File #QuarantinePost “.

Directed by Shaad Ali, the film also stars Angad Bedi. Previously, Taapsee shared some anecdotes from the sets of the Manmarziyaan movie.
Taapsee’s last role in Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad has been widely acclaimed. The actor will be seen in Haseen Dillruba, Rashmi Rocket, and Shabaash Mithu in the coming months.
