Mumbai Indians are increasing the pressure as their preparations for IPL 2021 begin to accelerate. Mumbai Indians players from around the world are beginning to team up for their sixth IPL crown. On Friday, MI’s New Zealand contingent of Trent Boult, Jimmy Neesham and Adam Milne arrived in Chennai. Late on Friday, the Mumbai Indians shared a video on Instagram of the team sweating as they prepare for their first match, the first match of the tournament against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In the video, people like Rahul Chahar are seen hard at work in the Chennai sun.

Mumbai Indians also shared snippets from their practice session on Instagram stories.

In one such video, Krunal Pandya is seen excitedly welcoming fans to IM’s first training session in Chennai.

In another, Australian duo Chris Lynn and Nathan Coulter-Nile appear to be in good spirits ahead of the session, while coach Mahela Jayawardene is seen addressing the team.

In a couple of other videos, the Chennai heat seems to affect some of the players.

Last season in the United Arab Emirates, the Mumbai Indians had defeated the Delhi Capitals in the final to clinch a record fifth IPL title, the most of any team.

Promoted

IPL 2021 is another opportunity for the team led by Rohit Sharma to do something that has never been achieved in the history of the tournament: win the IPL title three years in a row.

And MI will begin that search against RCB in Chennai in the opening game of IPL 2021 on April 9.
