New Delhi:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the 75th edition of his monthly radio address, “Mann Ki Baat.”
In the January issue of the broadcast, Prime Minister Modi had asked the nation to write about the freedom fighters and the stories of their struggle to mark the country’s 75th Independence Day this year.
These are the highlights of PM Modi’s Mann ki Baat:
- It is episode 75 of Mann K Baat, very happy and glad to have joined each other through this broadcast. We have talked about all segments: education, toy making, technology, culture and traditions.
- People share their experiences and images of Amrit Mahotsav. I ask everyone to please share stories related to the festival and help the nation reach new heights.
- Last year, in March, we observed the “Janata curfew.” He became an inspiration to everyone, as he was an extraordinary example of discipline. We show our love and respect for the crown warriors.
- We worked hard to get the corona vaccine and today we are running the largest vaccine program in the world. I’m glad to see people getting vaccinated across the country. A person from Kerala has called the campaign “Vaccine Sewa”
- Mitali Raj has inspired many women and men in the world. I congratulate her for scoring 10,000 runs in women’s cricket. PV Sindhu recently won the silver medal.
- I am happy that the daughters are carving out a niche for themselves in sports and other segments of life. It is in the month of March, when we celebrate Women’s Day, and many players have won medals and broken records.
- Lighthouses are an integral part of promoting tourism and always attract people due to their magnificent structures. India has 71 lighthouses. The Chennai Lighthouse has an elevator and is the only lighthouse in the country located within the state.
- It is the tenth year of the tsunami that hit Japan. In 2004, India was hit by a similar tsunami and we lost 14 lighthouse keepers. I pay my respects and pay tribute to them.
- Farmers must adopt new alternatives alongside traditional agriculture to increase income and create more employment opportunities. We are known for making beeswax and I want farmers to join in beekeeping.
- We recently celebrated “World Sparrow Day”. As summers approach, we must work hard to save sparrows, as well as other birds and animals.
- I greet everyone in Holi, Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Bihu, Navratri.
