“This is not an administrative transfer (from Singh). Some things have come to light through investigations by the NIA (National Investigative Agency) and ATS (Anti-Terror Squad),” Deshmukh said at an event in Mumbai. , according to the PTI news agency.

“Some of the colleagues of the (former) Mumbai Police Chief (Singh) made some serious mistakes. Those are unforgivable mistakes. Therefore, he was transferred,” Deshmukh said in his first public comments after Singh’s transfer.
The minister said that measures will be taken against those found guilty in the respective investigations of the NIA and the ATS.
Singh was transferred on Wednesday amid controversy over last month’s bomb scare outside the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani and the subsequent arrest of former police officer Sachin Vaze.
Although Singh, a 1988 officer, was transferred in a minor shakeup of major police posts, it was clear that the ruling coalition, consisting of Shiv Sena, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and Congress, held him accountable for the inept handling. from the police. bomb scare case.
Vaze’s arrest on Saturday by the National Investigative Agency (NIA) is said to be the reason behind his sudden transfer.

The Maharashtra Police ATS is investigating Hiran’s murder case. He had registered an FIR against unidentified persons days after Hiran’s body was found.
