Share market news today | Sensex, Nifty, stock prices LIVE: Domestic equity markets began trading in the red on Friday morning. S&P BSE Sensex dropped 50,000 at the open, while Nifty traded below 14,800 levels. Bharti Airtel was the only Sensex stock to move with profit. Bank stocks, including ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank, were the top drivers, followed by Reliance Industries Limited. India VIX or volatility indicator shot up 11%.
RailTel shares will make their debut on the stock market today. The Rs 819 crore initial public offering (IPO) from the Ministry of Railways, its second public issuance of 2021, had earlier this month garnered a subscription count of 42.39 times. Incorporated in 2000, RailTel is an information and communications technology infrastructure provider and one of the largest neutral telecommunications infrastructure providers in the country. The problem was an offer to sell (OFS) with the government seeking to cut its stake in the company. Shares were offered in the price band of Rs 93-94 per share with a minimum request size of 155 shares.
