VADODARA: Prime Minister of Gujarat (CM) Vijay rupani on Sunday night he collapsed while on his way to a public meeting at the Mehsananagar crossing in the Nizampura area of ​​Vadodara.
Rupani, who was visibly unwell, was in Vadodara to address three public gatherings before the civic body elections scheduled for February 21.
After Tarsali and Karelibaug, he was heading to the third meeting in the Nizampura area of ​​the city.
Rupani collapsed while delivering his speech. A bodyguard who was standing behind him tried unsuccessfully to restrain him. The CM collapsed even as the BJP leaders who were on the stand rushed to help.
He regained his composure a few minutes later. However, he did not continue with his speech. He did not seem to be uncomfortable as he walked down the stairs and away from the place.
Sources said they were taking him to Gandhinagar.
“During the election campaign in Vadodara, the prime minister fell due to dizziness. However, I just asked him that he’s fine now. It could have happened out of exhaustion. Doctors are examining him at Vadodara airport before he leaves for Gandhinagar. There is nothing to worry about as such, ”said MP CM Nitin Patel.
