Congressional leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram told the Rajya Sabha on Thursday that the government has failed to stimulate demand for growth in the country and that GDP will return to three-year figures due to “economic mismanagement. incompetent”. He claimed that the budget for 2021-22 has failed because not even a small amount of cash transfer has been delivered to the poor and rations are not being continued. “This is a Budget for the rich, by the rich, by the rich.”

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh addressed Rajya Sabha on Thursday about the situation on the ground in eastern Ladakh. “Our ongoing talks with China have led to an agreement on disengagement on the north and south shores of Pangong Lake. Following this agreement, India-China will phase out forward deployments in a coordinated and phased manner,” Singh said, adding that India is committed to maintaining bilateral ties and peace throughout LAC.
