Rajasthan Municipal Election Results 2021 Live Updates: Congress continues with a slight lead over the BJP. So far, there are trends for about 3034 out of 3035 districts. The BJP is leading in 1,141 districts and Congress in 1197. Independents lead in 633 districts. Hanuman Beniwal’s RLP leads in 13 while NCP is ahead in 46 rooms.
Elections were held on Thursday for 80 municipalities, 9 municipal councils and a municipal corporation. For these seats, around 10,000 candidates were up for grabs. The electoral commission had reported that a voter turnout of 76.52 percent was recorded and about 22.84 lakh of voters exercised their right to vote at the local polls.
The commission has made elaborate security arrangements and strict surveillance is maintained in the security rooms where EVMs have been kept. The districts where the voting took place were Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Jhalawar, Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh, Churu, Dungarpur, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Pali, Ajmer, Banswara, Bikaner, Bhilwara, Bundi, Rajsamand, Sikar, Tonk and Udaipur.
