New Delhi:
Taunted by BJP Chairman JP Nadda with a series of questions before his press conference today, Congressional Leader Rahul Gandhi replied: “Who is he? Why should I answer him?”
Nadda had posted a thread addressed to Rahul Gandhi after the congressional deputy attacked the government for a report on the construction of a village in China in Arunachal Pradesh on the Indian side of the de facto border. “Now that Mr Rahul Gandhi has returned from his monthly vacation, I would like to ask him some questions. I hope he will answer them at his press conference today,” the BJP chief wrote with his questions.
Rahul Gandhi, addressing journalists, replied: “Who is it that I have to answer you? Is it my teacher? I will answer to the country.”
Nadda had clashed with the congressional leader on a variety of issues, from China to the coronavirus crisis and farmers’ protests.
“When will Rahul Gandhi, his dynasty and Congress stop lying about China? Can you deny that thousands of kilometers, including the one in Arunachal Pradesh you refer to, were given away to the Chinese by none other than Pandit Nehru? Maybe why is Congress surrendering to China? ”Mr. Nadda tweeted.
He accused Mr. Gandhi of “provoking and deceiving” farmers and of alleged double standards.
“Why did farmers remain poor for decades under congressional governments? Do you feel sympathy for farmers only in opposition?” I ask.
“Rahul Gandhi did not skimp on the opportunity to demotivate the nation in the vigorous fight against COVID-19. Today, when India has one of the lowest cases and our scientists have created a vaccine, why did he not congratulate the scientists and praise 130 million rupees? Indians even once?
In response to the attack by the BJP chief referring to farmers’ protests, Gandhi said: “… Farmers know the reality. All farmers know what Rahul Gandhi does. Nadda ji was not in Bhatta Parsaul. I have a character , I’m not scared of Narendra Modi or anyone, they can’t touch me but they can shoot me. I’m a patriot and I’ll protect my country. It’s my dharma. I’m more fanatic than they are. ” Bhatta Parsaul is the place in Uttar Pradesh where in 2011, Mr. Gandhi joined the farmers in their agitation against the acquisition of land.
