Those Who Need the Covid Vaccine Most Will Get It First: Key Points from the Prime Minister’s Speech | India News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra modi on Saturday he inaugurated the world’s largest Covid vaccination campaign in the country. He congratulated people on the launch and said that those who need the vaccine most will get it first.
The launch was carried out via video conferencing and more than 3,000 sites in all states and territories of the Union connected during the launch.
Here are some key points from PM Modi’s speech:
The vaccine is finally here, says PM Modi
* Those who are at high risk will receive the vaccine at first. Doctors, nurses, hospital health personnel, medical and paramedical personnel deserve the most to receive the vaccine dose first.
* Normally, it takes many years to make a vaccine, but in such a short time, not one, but two ‘Made in India’ vaccines are ready. Meanwhile, work on other vaccines is progressing at an accelerating rate.
* Everyone asked when the vaccine will be available. It is now available. I congratulate all the compatriots on this occasion.
Do not forget to take 2 doses of vaccine: PM Modi
* Experts suggest an interval of almost a month between the two doses. Even after vaccination, precautions such as masking and social distancing should not be ruled out. We must take another vow: Dawai bhi, Kadaai bhi.
Such a large vaccine campaign never carried out in history: Modi
* Such a vaccination campaign on such a massive scale has never been carried out in history. There are over 100 countries with less than 3 million inhabitants and India is vaccinating 3 million people in the first phase alone. In the second phase, we must bring this number to Rs 30 crore.
* The world has immense faith in India’s scientists and vaccine production capabilities. We have two vaccines in such a short time, it is a testament to the talent and skills of our scientists.
India stepped forward and evacuated people under Vande Bharat: Prime Minister Modi
* In the fight against Corona, we have set an example to the world in many steps. When countries left their citizens, trapped in China in the middle of this pandemic, on their own, India stepped forward and evacuated not only Indians but also people from other nations under Vande Bharat’s mission.
* This disease kept people away from their families. Mothers cried for their children and had to stay away. People could not care for their elderly admitted to hospitals. We couldn’t say goodbye to those with proper rituals who died due to the crown.
The world looks to India with hope: Prime Minister Modi
* India is one of the few countries that, despite difficulties, provided medicines and medical aid to more than 150 countries around the world. Be it paracetamol, hydroxychloroquine or test kits, India has made every effort to save people from other countries.
* Today, when we have developed our own vaccine, the world looks to India with hope. As our vaccination campaign progresses, other countries around the world will benefit from it. India’s vaccine and our production capacity must be used for human interest, this is our commitment.
India has tremendous experience in handling these problems: Harsh Vardhan
I am very happy and satisfied today. We have been fighting Covid-19 in PM leadership for the last year. This vaccine will work as ‘sanjeevani’ in the fight against Covid-19, which has entered the final stage.
This is probably the largest immunization campaign against Covid anywhere in the world. India has great experience in handling these problems. We have already eradicated polio and smallpox.
