Rajnath also told Goa CM that he will organize a special air ambulance to transport Shripad Naik if necessary.
Naik and four members of his family had visited the Ghent Ganapati temple in Yellapur in the morning. The minister and his family performed the pooja in the temple and then proceeded to Gokarna around 7pm.
The car deviated from the NH-63 onto a sub-highway, which is a shortcut to Gokarna. The road was in very bad condition and the driver lost control of the vehicle and the car rolled over.
“It was not a collision between vehicles. Prima facie appears to be the case that the driver lost control of the car,” a police officer told PTI.
Vijaya and two other people suffered serious head injuries. Police rushed to the scene and transferred the injured to Ankola hospitals.
Ankola police have registered one case.
