A video about Bengaluru’s first train service to Kempegowda International Airport
The long awaited train service from Bengaluru City to Kempegowda International Airport started on January 4, 2021.
The first train left KSR Bengaluru at 4.45am and arrived at the newly built stop station near the airport at 5.50am
The South Western Railway operates five pairs of trains on the route and has also operated a new train service from Yelahanka to KIA.
Tickets from Bengaluru City to KIA will be priced between ₹ 10 and ₹ 15 and monthly passes will also be available soon.
BIAL is operating a shuttle bus service from the stop station to the terminal area.
The stop station has various amenities: ticket counter, restrooms, cafeteria, security system and others. The passenger information system showing the departure of the flight is also displayed.
