DDA’s New Housing Scheme Launched, Here’s How You Can Apply


The Delhi Development Authority launched a new housing scheme Saturday with over 1,300 apartments, mostly for middle income groups, in various locations in Delhi including Dwarka, Jasola, Manglapuri, Vasant Kunj and Rohini.

The “Housing Plan 2021” is an online-only plan that accepts “online only” applications from Indian citizens over the age of 18. For high income groups (HIG), low income groups (LIG) and economically weaker sections (EWS) / Janta categories, the number of apartments on offer are 254, 52 and 291 respectively.

The DDA is accepting applications until February 16, 2021

How to apply for the DDA program

* Applicants can only apply online. All interested parties should visit the DDA website, i.e. http://www.dda.org.in

* Applicants applying for apartments under the program will need to deposit the application money as detailed below.

* EWS: 25,000 rupees
* LIG – Rs 1.00.00
* MIG – Rs 2.00.00
* HIG – 2.00,000 rupees

* However, if the applicant prefers more than one category, they must deposit the application money for the highest category.

* The application once sent cannot be withdrawn

* The application process, issuance of the demand letter, letter of possession, deed of transfer, etc. it will be done only through online mode. Applicants are advised to keep their login credentials safe with them and not share them with anyone.

A look at the guidelines for applying for the DDA scheme

* Applicant must not own any residential parcel area that exceeds 67 square meters in whole or in part, wholly owned or leased in Delhi, New Delhi and Delhi Cantonment. This applies to your spouses and other dependents, including unmarried children.

* Spouses can apply for the program separately, and if both are declared successful, only one will be assigned a floor. Two people can also submit a single application under “joint applicant”.

* Except for the EWS category, there is no income criteria for other categories.

* Annual income of EWS applicants must not exceed 3 lakh and family income 10 lakh.

* Applicants must have a bank account and a PAN card in order to apply.

The plan was virtually launched by the vice president of the DDA, Anurag Jain.
