Huge fire breaks out at Harley Davidson showroom in Delhi, 4 rescued

A fire broke out in a Harley Davidson showroom in Moti Nagar, West Delhi, early this morning

New Delhi:

A major fire broke out in a Harley Davidson showroom in Moti Nagar, West Delhi, in the early hours of this morning.

The fire broke out on the first and second floors of the building around 1 a.m., after which a call was made to the fire department, which then dispatched 25 fire trucks to the scene.

Four people – 23-year-old Mohammad Shadab, 21-year-old Dhirender, 20-year-old Kiran and 24-year-old Riya – were rescued from a nightclub on the building’s third floor, fire officials said.

The fire was finally brought under control around 5:50 a.m., a senior fire official said.

The first and second floors of the showroom were badly damaged by the fire, officials said, adding that parts of the ground floor and basement were also damaged.

Apart from the disco, there is also a restaurant on the terrace of the building.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and an investigation is underway.
