Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has said it has closed the exit doors of four metro stations.
The four stations where metro passengers cannot exit are the Supreme Court and Mandi House on the Delhi Metro Blue Line and the Central Secretariat and Khan Market on the Violet Line.
However, passengers will be able to exchange and enter these four metro stations.
In a tweet posted from the DMRC’s official Twitter account, it read: “Security Update Khan Market, Supreme Court, Central Clerk and Mandi House exit doors are closed. Entry and exchange allowed at these stations “.
COVID-19 safety regulations, such as wearing masks and social distancing, are in effect in light of the pandemic, so the crowd shouldn’t be too large, a senior official said.
The DMRC’s current operational network spans about 390 km with 285 stations in 11 corridors (including the NOIDA-Greater NOIDA line). On regular days, the daily average passenger on the Delhi Metro is over 26 lakh.
