PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for Light House Projects at 6 sites today


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for Light House Projects on Friday within the framework of the Global Housing Technology Challenge-India (GHTC-India) through video conferences in six states. The virtual event will take place at 11 am.

Housing for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) is being built in Indore, Chennai, Ranchi, Agartala, Lucknow and Rajkot under the LHP project to provide shelter to the urban poor using GHTC technology. More than 1,000 houses will be built in each of the cities mentioned under this project.

PM Modi will also announce the winners of the Sustainable Affordable Housing Accelerators – India (ASHA-India) – and present annual awards for excellence in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Mission – Urbana (PMAY-U), said the Office of the Prime Minister.

During the event, it will launch a certified course on innovative building technologies called ‘NAVARITIH’ (New, affordable, validated research innovation technologies for Indian homes) and a compendium of 54 innovative home building technologies identified through GHTC-India added the PMO. .
