NEW DELHI: Delhi Government will install multiple free WiFi hotspots to Singhu border to ensure better internet connectivity For him protesting farmers.
The Aam Aadmi MLA Raghav Chadha Party said it was part of AAP’s selfless service to farmers.
Each WiFi access point will cover a radius of 100 meters. The government has promised to install the first hotspot, which will offer unlimited data to farmers, in 48 hours.
Chadha, the co-head of AAP’s Punjab unit, said that WiFi access points would be installed in a staggered manner at the Singhu border. “CM Arvind Kejriwal and AAP MLA have made repeated visits to the border and have regularly interacted with farmers. Many farmers had complained about poor connectivity and poor network due to not being able to talk to their relatives, ”said Chadha, adding that the free WiFi hotspots will help protesting farmers stay connected with their loved ones.
“The WiFi hotspots will help farmers to respond appropriately to BJP and allow farmers to continue to discover fake news being spread about them.”
Hundreds of farmers are camping on the border for more than a month demanding the repeal of the three agricultural laws recently passed by the central government.
“We promise to install as many WiFi access points as required by our farmer brothers and sisters who have been sitting on the borders of Delhi in this freezing cold,” Chadha announced at a press conference.
AAP has been supporting farmer agitation since its inception.
Kejriwal has said that farm laws have no advantage for farmers and will only make life difficult for them. He has asked the central government to repeal all three laws.
