In its guidelines that are now in effect, the MHA reiterated that appropriate Covid behavior must be promoted and strictly enforced nationwide and that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) must be diligently followed for the various permitted activities.
The ministry added that states must continue to demarcate containment zones carefully and prescribed containment measures must be strictly followed within these zones.
Meanwhile, India continues to witness a downward trend in daily cases and deaths.
The country reported 20,021 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to more than 1.2 crore, according to the latest figures released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW ) Monday.
The total number of active cases is 2,77,301, while the total recoveries are 97,82,669 and the accumulated number of deaths is 1,47,901.
