Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said on Sunday that his previous slogan “Go Corona, Corona Go” has been successful as the Covid-19 situation is improving in the country. Therefore, it has created a new slogan “No Crown, No Crown”, which is for the new variant of the infection detected in the UK first and then in several other places. The news strain is believed to be more contagious and also capable of infecting young people.
“Before I said the motto ‘Go Corona, Corona Go’ and now corona goes. For the new strain of coronavirus, I give the motto of ‘No Corona, Corona No,’ “the minister told ANI.
The above slogan was coined by Athawale in February, when the infection was just beginning to appear in India. He started the motto while participating in a prayer meeting at Mumbai India Gate. He sang the motto ion on March 5, when several Indians, inspired by PM Modi, turned off the lights and lit candles, diyas, etc.
Meanwhile, the minister has claimed that his previous slogan became world famous. “I gave the motto in February, when the Covid-19 situation was not so bad in India. At that time people were saying, will this make the crown disappear? Now we are seeing this motto all over the world ”, he had said in April.
In October, however, he tested positive for Covid-19.
