‘Ask CBI to share findings in Sushant Singh Rajput case’ – Maharashtra minister

Maharashtra Health Minister Anil Deshmukh said on Sunday that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) should release the findings of the investigation in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput.

“More than five months have passed since the investigation began but CBI has not revealed whether actor Sushant Singh Rajput was killed or committed suicide. I ask CBI to release the findings of the investigation as soon as possible, ”Deshmukh said.

The actor was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14. Mumbai police, who said the actor died by suicide, were conducting the initial investigation into the case. In August, the Supreme Court ordered the IWC to investigate the case.

The CBI approached the forensic department of AIIMS for a second opinion on the Rajput autopsy. The forensic team submitted their report to the CBI and reportedly claimed that there was no marking to prove that it was not a suicide.

Several agencies have launched a parallel investigation into the case: the CBI is investigating the ‘suicide’ case, while the Enforcement Directorate is investigating a money laundering angle and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is investigating an angle. drug related.

The NCB has questioned several Bollywood stars as part of its investigation. NCB’s investigation is based on some drug-related WhatsApp chats.

The agency had previously arrested Rajput’s girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, some employees of the late movie star, and some others under sections of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).

Subsequently, Rhea, her brother, and some other defendants were released on bail.
