NEW DELHI: Any dissent against this government is classified as having elements of terror, said the leader of Congress Priyanka gandhi Vadra on Thursday criticizing the central government.
“Any dissident voice against this government is classified as having elements of terror. We are undertaking this march to express our support for the farmers“Said the leader of Congress while speaking to the media.
“We live in a democracy and they are elected deputies. They have the right to meet with the president and they should be allowed. What is the problem with that? The government is not willing to listen to the voices of thousands of peasants camping on the borders.” “he said after congressional leaders were prevented from marching to Rashtrapati Bhavan.
“It is a sin to use the kind of names that they (BJP leaders and supporters) used for farmers. If the government calls them anti-national, then the government is a sinner,” added the congressional leader.
Congressional leaders were taken into police custody after they were denied permission to march against farm laws.
Farmers protest at the Delhi borders since November 26 against the Trade and Trade in Agricultural Products (Promotion and Facilitation) Act 2020; the Farmers Agreement (Empowerment and Protection) on Price Guarantee and Agricultural Services Law, 2020; and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act 2020.
