A dramatic video of a 13-foot crocodile dragging a young cheetah during an ambush at a waterhole in South Africa has surfaced online. The incredible footage was shot by 30-year-old WildEarth safari guide Busani Mtshali from the KwaZulu-Natal province at the & Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve in South Africa while leading a tour.
In the video, a thirsty cheetah cub is seen venturing to the edge of the body of water for a drink, unaware that a crocodile is hiding just below the waterline. When the cheetah starts to drink water, the crocodile goes out to attack.
The hungry reptile grabs the cheetah between its jaws and it tries to escape. However, the crocodile manages to drag the cub to death.

“It’s so painful. It’s more than the word painful. There’s really nothing we can do because the crocodile was ambushing the cheetah when the young cheetah cub came down to drink water,” Busani is heard saying in the video.
