Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty suffered a serious infection while filming for The Kashmir Files in Mussoorie. Director Vivek Agnihotri praised his dedication and professionalism for continuing to film an action sequence despite being in poor condition.
Mithun raised concerns about the interruption of filming because of him, Vivek said, adding that he has yet to see the same commitment from the current generation of actors.
In a statement given to The Times of India, Vivek said: “We were filming for a great action sequence. Everything was centered on the character of Mithun Chakraborty but he suddenly suffered a bout of infection and it was very bad. No normal person can stay in that condition, but he went out for a while, came back, and finished the whole session. “
“I was constantly asking myself, ‘Your shot won’t stop, does it?’ I am very, very surprised because I have not seen anyone of the new generation working with such dedication, “added the filmmaker.

Vivek praised Mithun, saying that his hard work and professionalism make him the superstar that he is. “Not only that, when we came back for filming in the morning, he charged everyone with his energy and made sure everyone was working at high speed. For this reason, we were able to cover the delay we had, ”he said.
The Kashmir Files will tell the story of the exodus of Kashmir pandits from their homeland in 1989 and 1990. Vivek previously said his film will be a factual account of events and will not be based on perceptions. He had revealed that he would record the testimonies of many first-generation survivors and base his film on their experiences.
Although The Kashmir Files was originally scheduled to hit theaters on Independence Day this year, it was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The film will be released next year.
