Karan Johar summoned by the Office of Narcotics Control in the Bollywood drug case


In a massive development in the Bollywood drug nexus case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) summoned Bollywood filmmaker and producer Karan Johar in connection with the video from the 2019 party that had come under severe scrutiny. . Karan Johar must respond to the notice by December 18.

According to sources, the notice was sent to verify the veracity of the video of the 2019 party that was in circulation. The video came under scrutiny after Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa filed a complaint with the OCN alleging drug use at his party.

In October it was reported that a meeting was called at the same where the OCN team led by the OCN Deputy Director, KPS Malhotra, and DDG Mutha Ashok Jain, discussed this with the Director General of the OCN, Rakesh Asthana, to decide the next course of action.

It is also reported that the director may not have to appear at the NCB office in person, but will likely be asked to provide an explanation about the video.

His subpoena comes after repeated questioning by top Bollywood celebrities, including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, and the latest is Arjun Rampal.

The now-deleted video from 2019 shows Karan Johar recording the guests at his party one by one, Deepika Padukone, Shakun Batra, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput, Varun Dhawan-Natasha Dalal, Rohit Dhawan, Zoya Akhtar , Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Ayan Mukerji, Pooja Shetty Deora, among others.
