Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut Says Farm Laws Row Can Be Resolved In 5 Minutes If Prime Minister Narendra Modi Intervenes

The agricultural laws row can be resolved in 5 minutes if PM Modi intervenes: Sanjay Raut from Shiv Sena

Sena leader Sanjay Raut said the farmers’ protest can be resolved if PM Modi himself intervenes

New Delhi:

Problems signaled by farmers’ unrest can be resolved in five minutes if Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself intervenes, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said today.

Sanjay Raut said the BJP-led NDA government should have a dialogue with farmers protesting for the past 21 days outside of Delhi to demand the removal of the Center’s three new agricultural laws.

The government can solve the problem in 30 minutes sitting with the farmers (agitators), if it wants … I think the problem will be solved in five minutes if the Prime Minister himself intervenes, he told the PTI news agency by phone from Delhi. .

The Sena leader said the protesters are India’s own farmers and that the government should dialogue with them.

Speaking to a Marathi news channel, Raut said the government has spread the issue a lot.

Stretching the issue this far is like paving the way for a new anarchy, said Sanjay Raut.

Enacted in September, the three agricultural laws have been projected by the Center as major reforms in the agricultural sector that will eliminate intermediaries and allow farmers to sell their products anywhere in the country.

However, protesting farmers have expressed fear that the laws would pave the way to remove the safety cushion of the minimum support price and wipe out mandis, leaving them at the mercy of large corporations.

Sanjay Raut criticized the Center for the decision not to hold the winter session of Parliament due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We will have to see why they do not hold the session … because the session has to be held because there is democracy, said member of Rajya Sabha.

Without naming the BJP, he said that he protested in Maharashtra seeking the reopening of the temples, but has now kept the temple of democracy (Parliament) closed.

How will this work? I ask.

Faced with a question, the Rajya Sabha MP exudes confidence that Shiv Sena will retain his control over the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the 2022 civic elections.

The BJP had previously said that it will evict Shiv Sena, its longtime ally, from power in the cash-rich Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
