As the stalemate between farmers and the central government continues on new farm laws, the Delhi Traffic Police tweeted on Saturday about traffic diversions and closed routes with thousands of protesters camping on the borders of the national capital.
“The open borders available to Haryana follow the borders: Jharoda (single carriageway / single road), Daurala, Kapashera, Badusarai, Rajokri NH 8, Bijwasan / Bajghera, Palam Vihar and Dundahera Borders,” Delhi traffic police tweeted today.
“The borders of Tikri, Dhansa are closed for any traffic movement. Jhatikara Borders is open only for two-wheelers and pedestrians,” Delhi traffic police added.
“The Chilla and Gazipur borders are closed to traffic from Noida and Ghaziabad to Delhi due to protests from farmers. People are advised to take an alternative route to get to Delhi through the borders of Anand Vihar, DND, Apsara and Bhopra, “authorities said.

The borders of Singhu, Auchandi, Piau Maniyari and Mangesh are closed. Please take alternate routes across the school toll border at Lampur, Safiabad, Saboli and Singhu.
Traffic has been diverted from the Mukarba and GTK highway.

The farmers’ protest has entered its 17th day today.
Meanwhile, with farmers preparing to block the Delhi-Jaipur highway in response to a call from protesting farmers’ unions to intensify their agitation against the three agricultural sector laws; A large number of police personnel have been deployed to protect the toll booths and ensure a smooth flow of traffic, Faridabad police said.
Up to 3,500 police officers will be deployed to the five toll plazas in the area, according to a statement.
The farmers’ unions threatened to block the train tracks. Under its previous plan to block the Delhi-Jaipur, Delhi-Agra highway by December 12, more farmers are likely to join the protests and move towards the Delhi borders.
Meanwhile, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has called on protesters to stop their agitation, as talks are still continuing.
