Speaking about the history of LHMC, the Minister of Health said: “LHMC has been a symbol of the empowerment of women in our country. Today Lady Hardinge alumni occupy a proud position in India and abroad and have made a commendable contribution in the field of health care and medical education and have brought glory to the institution and the country. “

The minister further praised LHMC for its role in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. “I am proud to acknowledge how the LHMC met the unprecedented challenge of Covid-19 and excelled in its battle against this deadly virus,” said Dr. Harsh Vardhan.
“Lady Hardinge was one of the first government institutions in Delhi to establish a state-of-the-art facility to perform RT-PCR testing. As the pandemic spread and various treatment modalities against this little-known virus were being tested, LHMC was one of the centers to conduct trials to assess the utility of convalescent plasma therapy, “he added.
