KCR will depart for Delhi this afternoon.


Hyderabad: Political circles are excited about Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s proposed visit to Delhi on Friday. Government sources and Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) said Rao will leave for a three-day visit to Delhi on Friday afternoon.

Rao’s tour in Delhi had become a point of debate in political circles in view of his harsh remarks against the BJP government at the Center during the GHMC elections and his announcement to play an active role in national politics for build an alternative political force for the BJP and Congress to give the country a new direction.

The Chief Minister had also announced that he would lead the agitation against the BJP’s anti-peasant policies and divestitures of public sector companies.

Party sources said the Chief Minister is likely to meet with leaders of political parties that oppose BJP policies and also interact with representatives of farmers’ associations that are agitating against the Agricultural Laws in Delhi.

Rao is expected to meet with various Union ministers during his stay in Delhi and unconfirmed reports indicate that he has requested the appointment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rao is also expected to visit the site assigned by the Union government to TRS to build a party office in Delhi.
