The Union’s education minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal, stated this during an online interaction with students, parents and teachers on board and competitive exams on Thursday.
Pokhriyal said that to provide flexibility and reduce stress, it has been decided to give candidates the option to appear one / two / three / four times at JEE (Main) 2021 for admission in the upcoming academic year. The exam will take place once a month, starting in late February. The candidate will have the option to appear in one or every month. For the candidate’s ranking, his best performance will be considered, he reported.
The minister informed that the JEE (Principal 2021) curriculum will remain the same as the previous year and a proposal is being examined in which students will have the option of answering 75 questions (25 questions each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) of 90 questions. (30 questions each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). He mentioned that for JEE (Main) 2020, there were 75 questions that had to be answered by the candidates (25 questions each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics), he reported.
