Arvind Kejriwal News: Arvind Kejriwal Under House Arrest? Delhi Police Post Images Of CM At Wedding | Delhi News

NEW DELHI: Delhi police on Tuesday denied the Aam Aadmi Party’s allegation that the prime minister Arvind kejriwal he had been placed under “house arrest”.
Police initially said they had deployed their men to maintain public order and avoid clashes between workers from different parties. However, a DCP soon refuted the AAP’s claim in a tweet, sharing a photo of the CM’s residence, which allegedly showed minimal security. This was followed by the release of multiple CCTV recordings of the CM traveling through the city on Monday night.

First, DCP (North) tweeted, “This claim that CM Delhi was placed under house arrest is incorrect. He exercises his right to free movement in accordance with the law of the country. A photo of the entrance of the house says it all. ”
Shortly after, a recording of Kejriwal leaving his residence was released, followed by another recording of a five-star hotel in Paschim Vihar, where he was seen entering a wedding venue. One of the recordings showed Kejriwal entering a hotel at 9.25pm on Monday.

Later, the police deployed to Kejriwal’s residence used the public address system to call AAP MLAs who had come there with supporters and claimed that they were not allowed to enter. The police began inviting them, repeatedly asking them not to lie and mislead people.
According to the Delhi police, the deployment outside Kejriwal’s residence was the usual one for his safety. Reinforcements were dispatched only when AAP workers began to gather there in large numbers along with party MLAs.
The barricade had been done before, they said, as mayors and others from the three municipal corporations had started a dharna outside the house on Monday. When AAP workers turned up in great numbers and began to protest, they again resorted to the barricades.
“We are coordinating with the CM residence. We will allow anyone who wants to call in, ”said Anto Alphonse, DCP North.
Satish Golcha, Special CP, said there were no restrictions on Kejriwal’s movements. “These claims are totally unfounded and unfounded. There are absolutely no restrictions. The CM has been fulfilling his usual commitments and has left his residence. There is adequate security in the area to keep the peace and prevent any adverse incidents, ”Golcha told reporters.
This is the first public dispute between the Delhi police and the Aam Aadmi party after the departure of former police commissioner BS Bassi.
