Antoine Griezmann did not hold back when analyzing Barcelona’s performance against Juventus on Tuesday in the Champions League.
Two goals by Cristiano Ronaldo and a goal by Weston McKennie gave the visitors a well-deserved victory at the Camp Nou and ended Barça’s long undefeated record at home in the competition.
Griezmann made it clear how disappointed he was with his team after the defeat to the Serie A champions that ensured Barça missed out on top spot in Group G.
“We did not appear. In the first half, they were on us. We lacked everything: desire, attitude, desire to run, to defend … everything was wrong.
“It is our fault, we are the ones who play. We have to want to work hard and want to play. We have to want it all. That is the only way forward.
“We can look for an excuse but it is time to put that aside and work hard, because the image that the day creates is very ugly.”

The defeat of Barcelona could end up being quite costly in Friday’s round of 16 draw. The Catalan giants could now face players like Bayern Munich, Liverpool or Manchester City.
