On the Mi.com website, the Redmi 9 Power India launch trailer has the words ‘Coming Soon’ and the option ‘Notify Me’. The trailers also confirm that the smartphone will come with 48MP quad cameras and a large battery. The phone may also come with fast charging support, according to the teaser images.
Based on what we’ve heard so far, the Redmi 9 Power could be a renowned Redmi Note 9 4G that was launched in China. If true, this could mean that the Redmi 9 Power will come with specs like a 6.53-inch FHD + LCD screen, a Snapdragon 662 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. But the Redmi Note 9 4G features a 48MP triple camera system, while the teaser suggests that the Redmi 9 Power will come with four 48MP cameras. The Redmi Note 9 4G also packs a large 6,000 mAh battery and supports 18 W fast charging.
It’s unclear if the Redmi 9 Power is a rebranded Redmi Note 9 4G and we’ll have to wait for more specs to be teased before we can be sure. Price wise, the Redmi Note 9 4G was launched in China at RMB 999 (roughly Rs 11,200) and the Redmi 9 Power could be priced similarly in India if the two devices are essentially the same.
