Mishra, who had been active during the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in Bundelkhand in 2017 and then in Gujarat, is the third leader of Madhya Pradesh after Kailash Vijayavargiya, the BJP’s West Bengal head, and the former organizing general secretary of the MP, Arvind Menon, who has been entrusted by the party with an important responsibility. With the new assignment, Mishra’s stature has also increased in the match, the sources said.
The BJP has reportedly appointed Mishra responsible for 48 assembly seats in the Asansol and Bardhman areas of West Bengal.
After his arrival in the Bardhaman district, the BJP workers welcomed Mishra and conducted a local contact campaign. Mishra also called on the people to support the BJP in the upcoming elections.
“I have seen enthusiasm and public support for BJP in West Bengal. I have also seen passion and struggle in the eyes of the BJP workers. This makes it clear that BJP is going to form a government in the state. The struggle and sacrifice of the BJP workers liberating West Bengal from the bad rule of Mamta Banerjee will not be in vain, “said Mishra.
The BJP leader, accompanied by Bardhman District President Krishna Ghosh, Secretary of State Vivek Sonkar and District Secretary General Vishwajit Poddar, also visited Kalna Vidhan Sabha No 254.
Apart from the local connection, Mishra also had lunch at the residence of the party’s Dalit worker, Sunil Saha.
“The government of West Bengal has not implemented several welfare schemes launched by the central government. The poor in the state are also deprived of important schemes like Ayushman Bharat. The attention of the whole country is on West Bengal. We will focus on our aim to keep every booth and every voter in mind, “he said.
After Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, the entire focus of the BJP is now on the assembly elections in West Bengal, which will likely be held in 2021 for 294 seats.
The term of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to end on May 26, 2021. During the previous assembly elections in 2016, the Trinamool Congress Party formed the government with the 211 highest seats, far ahead. of the 148 seats needed to win a majority. Congress won 44 seats, leftist parties 26, and the BJP had to be content with only three seats.
Sources revealed that Narottam Mishra shares a good relationship with the top leaders of the BJP, including the Minister of Internal Affairs, Amit Shah, and the party’s West Bengal head, Kailash Vijayavargiya.
His successful contribution to 52 Bundelkhand assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh has also added to his good political record, the sources added.
