Indian fisherman Thangarasu Natarajan on Monday described his experience of winning the T20I series against Australia in the national colors as “memorable and special”.
The 29-year-old from Tamil Nadu claimed two crucial wickets in the second T20I when India beat Australia by six wickets to seal the three-game series with one match to play.

“First victory of the series for my country. Meorable and special (sic) ”, he wrote on his Twitter account.
With Australian starters Matthew Wade and D’Arcy Short hitting India in the second game, skipper Virat Kohli turned to Natarajan and the pacemaker did not disappoint. He fired Short in the fifth before coming back to ditch Moises Henriques in the 19.
Impressed with Natarajan’s meteoric rise in international cricket, Australian great Glenn McGrath called him a “find” for India on this tour.
“I was very impressed with Natarajan. It is definitely the find of this Indian tour, hopefully it continues, ”said McGrath while commenting during the second T20I at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Natarajan had captured three wickets in the first T20I and India recorded an 11-run victory.
He made a memorable debut for the country on day three against Australia, breaking two terrains when India achieved a morale-boosting 13-run win.
Chosen for the India T20 team, Nataranjan was called up to the ODI setup as a backup to Navdeep Saini, who had complained of back spasms before the series began and went racing in the first two ODIs.
