India sealed the three-game T20I series against Australia at SCG on Sunday with one game left to play on Tuesday (December 8).
Hard-hitting low-order hitter Hardik Pandya (42 without 22 balls) finished what left-handed starter Shikhar Dhawan had set out for India to pull off with a brilliant 52 of 36 balls in the second T20I.
The Men in Blue thus avenged their 1-2 defeat in the ODI series, pursuing a challenging 195-race goal set by the Australians. India had won the first T20I at Manuka Oval by 11 races on Friday night.
With his team needing 25 of the last two overs, Pandya reduced the equation to 14 in the last six balls. The 27-year-old then hit two sixes to seal the game and series for his team.
