The Hyderabad MP was discussing with BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi about a program on AajTak, moderated by presenter Anjana Om Kashyap, on the results of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.
When asked by the presenter about the BJP leaders’ comments about the holding of ‘surgical strikes’ in Hyderabad and whether the voters in Owai were not Indians, Sudhanshu claimed that Jinnah’s ideology still prevailed in the country, as many Muslims they had voted for the Muslim League and the creation of Pakistan, but then remained in India.
The presenter then asked Owaisi to show his patriotism, to which he responded harshly, saying, “How many Muslims voted for the Muslim League? Elections to GHMC threw a house hanging as the BJP made great strides to deny the ruling TRS a clear majority.
