Not a club game: Yuvraj Singh trolls Shubman Gill for keeping his hands in his pocket during Australia’s third ODI | Cricket news

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is often seen pulling the legs of other players on social media and this time, the talented young batsman Shubman Gill has become the victim of his troll.

Gill was named to the Indian team for the One-Day Internationals (ODI) against Australia, but didn’t get a chance to play in the first two games before he was finally cornered for the third and final clash.

Gill, who had appeared in just two ODI games before India’s 13-run win over Australia in the final ODI on Wednesday, replaced Mayank Agarwal in Game XI to open the batting alongside Shikhar Dhawan.

After presenting the 50+ clash for the national team at the Manuka Oval, Gill couldn’t contain his happiness and shared a couple of photos from the match on his official Instagram account.

“Great feeling to represent my country,” he wrote along with the images.

Gill was seen standing next to skipper Virat Kohli during their 56-race partnership in one image, while he could be seen standing with his other teammates with his hands in his pocket in the other photo.

Reacting to the same, Yuvraj gracefully trolled Gill by keeping his hands in his pocket.

The former Indian off-roader dubbed Shubman ‘Maharaj’ and said it is not a club game but an international game.

“Indeed a pleasure to hit alongside the great @ virat.kohli! Maharaj jeb vicho hath kado India da match shawl reha club da nahi Why do you have your hands in your pocket? You’re playing for India and not for a club), “commented Yuvraj.

Gill scored 39 balls 33 with the help of three limits and a six before Ashton Agar caught him leg before the wicket as India posted a score of 302/5 in her stipulated 50 overs.

In response, the crucial half centuries each of skipper Aaron Finch (75) and Glenn Maxwell (59) were for naught, as Australia packed for 289 to avoid India from the series sweep.

Shardul Thakur pocketed three plots for India, while Jasprit Bumrah and T Natarajan claimed two plots each. Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja also contributed a wicket each.

On a related note, India is currently playing a three-game T20I series against the Australians and has taken an early 1-0 lead after winning the opening match by 11 runs at Manuka Oval, Canberra on Friday.
