Karnataka Bandh today: Karnataka Bandh is unlikely to affect transport services today | Bengaluru News

BENGALURÚ: While some pro-Kannada groups have called for a Bandh on Saturday to oppose the Maratha Development Board, transportation services in the city are unlikely to be affected.
The bandh has been convened between 6 am and 6 pm and will witness a rally from KSR Bengaluru City train station to Freedom Park.
The operations of KSRTC and BMTC cannot be interrupted as the Indian Trade Union Congress (AITUC) has only provided moral support to the bandh. The Namma subway will run as usual. Fuel outlets and restaurants will remain open.
Ssome car drivers, taxi drivers to participate
However, some taxi and autorickshaw drivers have decided to join the bandh. Tanveer Pasha, a taxi union leader, claimed that most taxi drivers and car drivers will take part in the strike. “But we are not forcing all drivers due to the impact of Covid,” he said.
The police have decided to intensify security throughout the state to prevent the forced closure of shops and commercial establishments and adverse incidents.
