The creators of Coolie No 1 have shared the first song from the film, titled Teri Bhabhi. It shows lead actor Varun Dhawan as coolie Raju, madly in love with a rich man’s daughter, played by Sara Ali Khan.
The video shows Raju and his coolie friends taking over a train station, celebrating Raju’s falling head over heels in love. The colorful song shows Raju and hundreds of others dancing as he holds the photograph of the girl against his heart. Soon, dozens of his large cutouts appear on the roofs of trains and even she appears in his imagination, dancing with him in a beautiful lehenga.
The song is composed by Javed – Mohsin and sung by Javed – Mohsin Ft. Dev Negi and Neha Kakkar. Speaking about the song, Varun recently said, “Bhabhi is one of my favorite songs on the album! In fact, there is an interesting story behind how we discovered this song. It was Badshah who introduced me to this song. It was very sweet of him. He had come to my house especially to make me listen to this particular song. When Dad and I heard the song, we instantly loved it! It fits perfectly with the David Dhawan music school and with Javed – Mohsin’s energy and atmosphere are contagious! This is how we found this clue! I think they have done a fabulous job with him! “
The trailer for Coolie # 1 was released on Sunday. The film is directed by David Dhawan and is a remake of his 1995 self-titled hit starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. It stars Varun as a coolie, pretending to be a rich man only to marry the girl of his dreams.

Upon the release of the trailer, Sara stated that she did not wish to imitate Karisma in the film. “He was more focused on being led by David Señor and enjoying the chemistry he shared with Varun. Karisma inspires me, as do most actors. She is an iconic star, I don’t think most people can do it because of the way she makes masala (kettles). But I don’t think I can or I tried to copy it, ”he said in an interview with PTI.
The film will premiere on December 25 on Amazon Prime Video.
