New Zealand captain Kane Williamson was photographed hugging heartbroken West Indies player Kemar Roach before the first test match at Seddon Park on Thursday.

Cricket is called a gentlemen’s game and New Zealand cricketer Kane Williamson embodies it on and off the field.
Captain Kiwi was in his batting prime when his squad took on the West Indies for the first test at Seddon Park on Thursday.
When asked to hit first, New Zealand lost Will Young early on, but starter Tom Latham (86) stuck with Captain Williamson and achieved a solid 154-run partnership.
When the first day ended, Kiwis finished the innings with 243/2 in stumps.

“CWI extends its deepest condolences to Kemar Roach and his family on the passing of his father,” wrote Cricket West Indies on Twitter along with the photograph of the two cricketers.
