The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell would begin counseling for various entrance exams, including MHT CET 2020 B.Tech, B.Pharma, Pharma D., and other courses. The results of MHT CET 2020 have been declared. Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant had shared that the counseling process for various courses would begin in the first week of December. While we wait for the schedule, here’s a quick look at the counseling process.

The result of MHT CET 2020 for PCM, PCB was declared on November 28. All candidates who have scored the MHT CET 2020 exam are encouraged to check out mahacet.org or info.mahacet.org/cap2020/BE2020/ link. The detailed schedule and other information will be posted on the page. In addition to BE / BTech, advisory schedules for MCA, MBA, ME, M.Architecture, etc. courses are also expected to be released this week.

MHT CET Advice: Important Documents Needed, Process and Other Details

List of required documents

  1. Admission card MHT CET 2020
  2. Brand Sheet SSC, HSC
  3. Category certificate
  4. Residence Certificate / NRI Certificate, etc. according to the seat requested

Process

  1. Counseling for admission to various engineering, agriculture and pharmacy colleges would be done through a common application process or CAP. The counseling typically includes three rounds also known as CAP 1, CAP 2, and CAP 3.
  2. Once the schedule is posted, candidates will need to complete the application form for admissions. This is an online process and candidates would have to use their 2020 MHT CET roster numbers for the same. Online applications will be available at info.mahacet.org/cap2020/BE2020
  3. Once the account is created, candidates will be required to pay fees and upload their scanned images and a scanned copy of their signature.
  4. Complete your course and college choice based on the above limits and merit list that would be published by CET CELL.
  5. PAC seating assignment results will be reported.

Depending on the seat assignment, the candidates will need to submit to the universities and submit the documents for verification. The document verification process would be necessary once CAP results are announced and seats are assigned. Also, this year, due to the pandemic, there may be special provisions for online verification of documents.
