A Punjab lawyer sent a legal notice to Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut for allegedly misidentifying an elderly woman at the farmers’ protest in the national capital as Bilkis Bano, known as the ‘Shaheen Bagh dadi’.
Defender Harkam Singh, in the legal notice dated November 30, suggested that Ranaut should have authenticated the information before posting it on social media and demanded an apology for her tweets, in which she allegedly misidentified the woman.

“I submitted a legal notice for a tweet that misidentified Mohinder Kaur as Bilkis Bano with a hint that she (Kaur) was available as a contracted protester for 100 rupees. The notice gives Ranaut seven days to issue an apology to the contrary. , which will be a defamation case, “Singh told ANI here on Wednesday.
The legal notice said that Ranaut, in his tweet, claimed that Bilkis Bano was present at the farmers’ protest and was available at 100 rupees.
“It is to inform you that said lady is not a false lady. Her name is Mahinder Kaur and she belongs to Bathinda. She is the wife of farmer Labh Singh Nambardar. In her life, she has always remained connected with the fields and field work and is the wife of a farmer, ”the ad said.
He said that by using such comments, Ranaut has not only lowered the prestige and image of the lady, but also diminished the image and prestige of every lady, as well as every person who participates in protests for a noble cause and to fight. for their rights.
